Logging in with Multi Form Authentication

Some projects within Firebird have Multi Form Authentication enabled.

You will know if this is the case because the Log in Screen will say (Step 1 of 2) on it.

Getting Ready

Before you start, make sure you have an authenticator app installed on your mobile device.

Then follow the steps below to log in:

Step 1

You start with the normal log-in / sign-up screen.

Follow the normal process for logging in or signing up and move onto Step 2.

Step 2

At step 2 you will be presented with a QR code for scanning.

The steps you follow will depend on the authenticator app you have installed.

For Microsoft Authenticator:

  • Open the App
  • Click on the menu in the top right hand corner
  • Click Add Account
  • Choose Other Account
  • Scan the QR code

For Google Authenticator:

  • Open the App
  • Click on the + button in the top right hand corner
  • Scan the QR Code

Enter Passcode

Enter the passcode provided by the App into the browser and click the Arrow button to continue.

Recovery Code

Make a note of your recovery code and tick I have safely recorded this code.

Click the Arrow button to continue.

Note

If you lose your recovery code, then the Firebird support team can reset your account and you will be able to log in again.

Confirmation

You will get a confirmation message:

Click on Continue.

Logged In

Success

Congratulations, You are now logged in!

Next time you log in, you will be prompted for the 6 digit code from your authenticator app.
